Having trouble finding what you need for your trailer locally? So, you found what you need on our website, but you are located in another country. No problem! We are located in the United States, but we welcome international business. We want to inform potential customers that we want your international business and we want to make it easy for you to buy from us! We would like to share a few tips with our customers located outside of the U.S. about doing business with us. There are many factors when buying from another country and we will address several of those factors in this article.
Sometimes your find a great website with exactly what you are looking for, but there is one problem: You don’t understand what it says because it is written in a language that you cannot comprehend. Luckily, there are many tools out there to help you to understand what the website says. While online translators may not be perfect, they get the gist across of what the writer was trying to convey. Our E-Commerce website features Google Translate. Each page can be translated into one of the many languages that Google Translate offers.
It can be found at the very top of our website, above the header. Just click on the drop down list and select which language you would like to translate to! Unfortunately you will need to do this for each page that you visit because Google Translate resets to the default language.
You have found the part that you need for your trailer. The photo of the part looks like what you need, but you want to be sure that it is the correct size. The only problem is that our measurements are in Imperial/U.S. Standards. Feel free to email us with any measurements that you need converted to Metric. There also many websites that will convert measurements from Imperial to Metric.
Payment is another factor when buying online from another country. We accept VISA, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express credit cards. All currency conversion is handled by the banks involved in the transaction. Our prices are listed in U.S. Dollars, but many websites can convert currencies so that you can see the price in your currency. If you cannot pay with a credit card, we also accept payment in the form of a wire transfer. Wire transfers take longer for the payment to clear and require further communication with us, but can certainly be done if that is the best form of payment for the customer.
Shipping internationally can be time consuming and involve a lot of paperwork. Many companies choose not to ship outside of the country for this reason. We recognize that we offer a fairly unique product and we are willing to ship outside of the country in an attempt to help customers get the products that they need and may be having trouble finding locally. By providing us an accurate email address when you register as a guest or customer, we may be able to contact you with better shipping costs after viewing the contents of your shopping cart and doing some pricing around.
Customs, Duties and Taxes
We require that the customer pays the customs/duties and taxes that their country charges them for the incoming goods.
We cannot predetermine the charges to cover our costs because they are determined differently in every country.
By agreeing to the “Terms & Conditions” when placing an order, you are agreeing to pay the customs, duties, and taxes charged.
International Shipping Costs
Sometimes international shipping can be very expensive. If you feel that the prices shown on our website are excessive, feel free to contact us to suggest a different way to ship your order. We are willing to investigate practical suggestions made by our customers that may help lower the costs of international shipping.
Many people who do a lot of international shipping use a freight forwarder. Once your order reaches the freight forwarder, we are no longer responsible. Make sure you use a reliable freight forwarding company when using this shipping method.
Sometimes contacting a company located in another country can be somewhat difficult. Differences in time zones can cause a bit of an issue. Luckily, you can send us an email at any time of day or night and we will try our best to promptly respond when we are able to open your email. For customers who would like to speak with us and can coordinate a time to call us during business hours, you are more than welcome to do so. We are looking to add an 800 phone number in the future to eliminate exorbitant calling costs for our customers calling from other countries.
We hope that this article has cleared up any concerns you may have and encouraged you to do business with us internationally. We are welcome to any comments and suggestions from our international customers on how we can make doing business with us even easier and simplify the process even further!
