Material is Carbon Steel “ASTM-A-500 GRADE B”
ERW = Electric Resistance Welding (ERW) pipe is manufactured by rolling metal and then welding it longitudinally across its length. ERW pipe cold formed from a ribbon of steel pulled through a series of rollers and formed into a tube which is fused through a electric charge
The former parent company, manufactured axles in their trailer production, and this is left over stock, with mild surface rust. Price is VERY reduced to encourage quick sale.
For determining the tube length needed (after cutting): Start with the desired “hub-face” and subtract 10.5″ for STRAIGHT 5200lb to 7000lb OR 14.75″ for DROP 5200lb to 7000lb standard spindles. Example: For an 87″ hub-face with straight spindles, you would need a 76.5″ tube, so you would need to purchase 7′ (84″).
– 7 feet of tubing for making trailer axles.
– 3″ OD
– For trailers requiring 5,200lb to 7,000lb capacities (per axle).
– Sold by preset lengths ONLY.
– Customer will need to cut to exact fit as needed.
